Irvington Mayor Tony Vauss Announces Free Flu Shots for Irvington Residents

Irvington Mayor Tony Vauss announced that the Department of Health for the Township will be giving flu shots to Irvington residents at no charge.

“I am very pleased to announce that we have begun to provide flu shots to our residents,” said Mayor Vauss. “Flu season is here, and it is important for the health of our community that as many people as possible take advantage of this opportunity to protect themselves from getting the flu. ”

“The flu is a miserable experience,” said Health Director Dr. Stephanie Bush-Baskette. “It is also very easily spread to other people. I hope that our residents will come into the Flu Clinic at Town Hall, on one of the many days we are offering it, and protect themselves and others by getting their flu shot.”

The dates of the Flu Clinic, which is located in the basement of the Municipal Building at 1 Civic Square, are October: 2, 7,9,14,16,21,23,28,30; November: 3,5,7,10,12,13,14,24,25; and, December 1,2,3,4,5. The time on all days is 10AM until 1AM. Priority will be given to senior citizens and people with chronic ailments and immune suppressed clients. This service is for Irvington residents only. Bring proof of residency.
