Position: Public Health Nurse Supervisor

Salary: $116,000 annually
SUMMARY: The Township of Irvington is seeking a qualified and experienced Public Health Nurse Supervisor to oversee and coordinate specialized public health nursing services within the Township of Irvington.
QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Public Health. Four (4) years of experience in public health nursing. Applicants must possess a current, valid registration as a Professional Nurse in the State of New Jersey
RESPONSIBILITIES: Under direction, oversee specialized Public Health Nursing Service activities. Supervise assigned professional and support staff. Plan, organize, and implement approved public health nursing services throughout the community. Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend development of public health services. Coordinate Public Health Nursing Service activities with other programs and activities of the health unit. Participate in special health projects serving the community. Refer individuals and families for needed medical, social, or mental health services. Conduct follow-up activities related to case findings. Gather and disseminate public health information. Meet and collaborate with community groups, agencies, and organizations involved in public health activities. Establish and maintain essential records, reports, and files. Perform other related duties as assigned.
