Effective March 1, 2026, legal notices must be displayed on the official public notices webpage for at least one week, or for the duration required by law, before being moved to the archive.

• Public notices must remain in the archive for a minimum of one year.
• The archiving requirement becomes effective July 1, 2026.
• The archive is not subject to the Records Retention Schedule or the Destruction of Public Records Law.
• The Secretary of State will host a central webpage with links to all public entity legal notices.
